RGB
RGB (Red, Green, Blue)
RGB LED strips use three primary colours — red, green, and blue — to create a wide range of mixed colours through varying intensity levels. They can produce vibrant hues and dynamic effects, but cannot create a true white tone; “white” is simulated by blending all three colours, which often results in a slightly tinted output.
RGBW
RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White)
RGBW strips include an additional dedicated white LED alongside the RGB diodes. This provides a much cleaner, more natural white tone, improved pastel shades, and better colour rendering when used in mixed scenes. The white LED can be neutral, warm, or cool depending on the model.
RGBCW
RGBCW (Red, Green, Blue, Cool White, Warm White)
RGBCW strips go a step further by adding two white channels — one warm and one cool — enabling a full range of colour temperatures as well as vivid RGB colours. This makes them ideal for tunable applications where both colour and ambience control are required, combining the flexibility of RGB with the adaptability of CCT (Correlated Colour Temperature) adjustment.
